Toyota GR HV Sports Concept
Toyota showcased the hybrid, handsome looking GR HV Sports concept in Tokyo - a vehicle based on the Toyota GT 86.
The Toyota GR HV Sports Concept is a unique reveal from the brand, that they claim will “integrate the thrill of a sports car with the enviromental friendliness of an eco-car.” The distinct model also features a targa top that has not been since the Supra sports car. The latest concept is one of the first from the new GR peformance company, Gazoo Racing.
Inspiration for the striking model comes from the TS050 LMP1 Le Mans race car, with vertical LED headlights and a sleek low placed grille prominent examples. Throughout the vehicle there is athetlic style with its muscular body shape, sharp lines and sporty alloy wheels. It is also powered by the Toyota Hybrid System-Racing, borrowing some of tech used in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) race series.
Inside the vehicle is a driver-focused cabin with a unique manual automatic transmission system that allows the user to switch betwen automatic transmission and manual shifting with a button push. Elsewhere the interior is minimalistic yet attractive - with the use of a red contrast to further establish a sporty look.
