Subaru Viziv Tourer Concept Reveal
Subaru have revealed their Viziv Tourer Concept at the Geneva Motor Show, which could suggest a upcoming Subaru WRX Estate.
Subaru previously generated interested in a possible revival of their WRX model, revealing a Viziv Performance Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show. Now the brand have unveiled a Viziv Tourer Concept at the Geneva Motor show, that could potentially indicate an upcoming Subaru WRX Estate, that would fill the void left by the discontinued Impreza Estate.
Both concepts are based on the manufacturer’s latest Global Platform, introduced on the current Impreza. The new Viziv Tourer Concept is also very similar to the original Performance Concept saloon, featuring the same front end with sharp body styling though with an increased length and generous amount of boot space.
As the new concept is based on Subaru’s Global Platform, several other benefits also features. This includes the brands EyeSight technology which offers plenty of driver-assistnace technology. This includes driver fatigue detection, side impact alert, autonomous emergency braking and plenty more. Other semi-autonomous systems are also expected to feature in any future production variants.
Though a powertrain has not been revealed as of yet for the new concept, the platform naturally accepts boxer engines and symmetrical all-wheel drive, synonymous with the brands rally heritage. Top of the line production variants are expected to offer turbocharged engines with some form of electrification for additional straight-line performance.
