New Koenigsegg Jesko
Named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, who is the father of company Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.
Jesko von Koenigsegg always had a main role at Koenigsegg Automotive during the early years. His incredible business skills and management helped steer the company through many early problems. he is now retired and in his 80’s, Jesko von Koenigsegg and his wife, Brita, were on full view at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to see his personally named vehicle introduced to the world.
The interior of the Jesko is made of many luxury materials which include leather, alcantara, carbon fibre, aluminium and glass. Jesko’s electrically operated seats can be made in the leather or alcantara however suits the customer, which can come in endless variety of colour and contrasts. The sport bucket seats are built around a carbon fibre shell, making the seat light and comfortable. the main controls for seat position and heating can be used on the SmartCenter touchscreen. Drivers can find the perfect driving position that suits them by matching their seat position with the fully adjustable steering column and pedal box.
The Koenigsegg-designed air injection system is made up of a small compressor and carbon fibre air tank. The patent-pending system gives a powerful 20-bar shot of air which is purposely located within the turbocharger system so it can pre-spool the turbochargers and provide instant response. The engine has been re-designed to house a tumble valve on intake and individual pressure sensors for each cylinder in order to achieve real-time, precision monitoring of every cylinder.
The new Koenigsegg V8 gives an amazing 1280hp on regular gasoline and an overwhelming 1600hp on E85 which is an available option in certain markets. Maximum torque increases to 1500 Nm at 5100rpm with 1000+ Nm available anywhere between 2700 to 6170rpm.
