Mazda MX-5 2018
Whilst the Mazda concept cars have generated a lot of buzz, the refreshed Mazda MX-5 2018 has also been revealed at Tokyo.
The majority of coverage has been focused on the futuristic designs of the Kai Concept and Vision Coupe Concept however, the MX-5 2018 has also been upgraded. Though not a facelift there is plenty to consider with several more customisation options, improved suspension and more accurate handling.
Speaking to the customisation options, there are new exterior paint options namely a metallic red and metallic grey. There are also options to make the model more unique with contrasting roof including the pictured dark cherry soft top. It also benefits with improved equipment in the form of adaptive LED headlights and black-painted BBS alloy wheels.
Inside the Mazda MX-5 there is an ever improved dashboard featuring more legible gauges, further sound isolation for greater refinement and heated cloth seats. Customisation options continue to improve with Auburn leather upholstery.
Those looking to drive the new Mazda MX-5 will mostly be interested in the improved driving dynamics on offer. The power steering system and rear suspension are the focus for the Japanse brand, though specific details have not yet been made available.
Most of the changes are expected to be replicated on UK cars with an expected on sale of spring 2018. For full coverage of the Tokyo Motor Show view our complete guide. If you cannot wait for these latest changes, we offer the MX-5 and all other lease models of Mazda.
