The Detroit Motor Show 2018 opens its door on the 13th January. View our complete guide to the North American International Auto Show.

The Event

The Detroit Motor Show 2018 is held at the Cobo Center. Doors open to press on the 14th of January, with public access starting on the 20th January and finishing on the 28th January. Whilst many of the announcements will be tailored to the US market, expect big debuts of global vehicles from the worlds largest manufacturers.

BMW announced the brand new X2 model, the latest in the X family to sit between the highly acclaimed X1 and X2. Infiniti Concept Car - Preview

Infiniti have announced that the Detroit Motor Show will also feature the debut of a new concept car for the brand. Little information has been released at this time about the concept, however it is expected to be an electric vehicle set to inspire a road model to release in 2019. It will also give us clear indication of the design direction for the luxury brand since hiring a new design director from BMW.

Hyundai Veloster - Preview

In the lead up to the show Hyundai have announced that they will be revealing the returning Hyundai Veloster at the 2018 Detroit Motor Show. Official preview images were released from the manufacturer showing three new camofluaged Veloster’s on a Korean race track. The models in question look to be the standard, Turbo and much anticpiated N model. Expect full details when it is unveilied for the first time at the show.

Jeep 2018 Cherokee - Preview

Jeep have already announced and revealed images for the 2018 Cherokee model. In our preview we take a deep look into the front, rear and interior shots of the vehicle comparing the revised design to the previous model year. A lot of the information including list price and expected delivery time is yet to be announced. We look forward to learning more from the show floor.

Lexus LF1 Limitless Concept - Preview

Lexus have released a couple of teasers for a new concept vehicle, the Lexus LF1 Limitless Concept. This new crossover is set to be a flagship model for the brand, with a production variant expected to be made in the future. Mercedes-Benz released teaser images of the new Mercedes G Class, showing off a brand new and exciting interior design. The cabin of the G-Class has been entirely overhauled for the 2018 variant with improved material quality, luxurious details, superior next generation technology and refined comfort.
