2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe (UK-SPEC)
The new 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe UK Spec has new technology that optimises handling and driving.
The success story of four-door BMW coupes began in 2012 with the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé, followed two years later by the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé. The new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé has been available since September 2019 and first UK customer deliveries of the 2 Series Gran Coupé were allowed to be ordered from the 14th of March 2020.
Inside the standard BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe it has BMWs Live Cockpit Plus system which is essentially an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with BMW’s personal assistant which is the equivalent to Mercedes-Benz’ ‘Hey Mercedes’ feature. The BMW 2 Series Coupe is draped with dakota leather in the power sport seats.
The BMW 2 Series will have three engines available, the entry model is the 218i that is a 1.5 litre 3-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 140hp. It can accelerate from 0-62 in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 134mph. The next model is the 220d that is a 2.0 litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 190hp. It can accelerate from 0-62 in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 146mph. The top of the range is the M235i xDrive which is a 2.0 litre four-cylinder with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology that helps is produce an output of 306hp. It can sprint from 0-62 in 4.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. All models are paired with the eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission.
