2018 Sprinter Teaser
Mercedes Benz Vans have released a final teaser video prior to the full reveal of the 2018 Mercedes Benz Sprinter on the 6th Feb.
The new 2018 Sprinter van will be presented later today (the 6th February 2018) in full, prior to this we take a look at the last teaser video released from the manufacturer. The new video shows some earlier indications of what we can come to expect with more driver friendly features including push button start, electronic park brake, electric seat adjustment and more. Take a look at the teaser video for yourself here:
There is a few shots of the Sprinter from afar which show that the vehicle will retain its fundamental tall profile with the sizeable rear cargo area. The expected aesthetic changes however are more likely to come from the front of the vehicle in the form of a redesigned grille and more contemporary headlights.
The majority of the changes however are expected to be those made to the cabin which we previously covered with the official release of these images. As we noted then the changes to the dashboard are unmistakeable with the centrepiece a new large infotainment system. This has now been confirmed to use the new Mercedes Benz User Experience (MBUX) and the latest artificial intelligence that will adapt to suit the user.
In addition, the new vehicle will be built on the brands “adVANced philosophy and put the first solutions from this future initiative on the road.” Furthermore, there will be a communications module built into the vehicle so that fleet managers can make use of a software called Mercedes Pro. All this technology enables new features such as a sat nav system enabled for multi-drops and re-routing based on the drivers journey.
The 2018 Mercedes Sprinter will be revealed on a live stream at 3pm on the 6th Feb. Expect a full article on the reveal soon after.
