Mr Bean will be making his first ever live public appearance at this year’s Goodwood Revival next week by showing off his driving skills. He is one of the world’s most popular comedy character creations and has been making us curl up with laughter with his ridiculous antics.
Rowan Atkinson will be driving round the Goodwood Motor Circuit as Mr Bean during the three days of the show, on his Mini, as part of a huge parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic car. Yes, you read that right, he will be driving on top of his Mini!
You may remember the hilarious scene from the Mr Bean television series when he bought some items from a famous department store sale, only upon returning to his Mini, was unable to fit all item inside his car, including a large armchair?
Well, he will be sitting comfortably in this armchair, which will be attached to the roof of his Mini, using a mop and string to operate the steering and pedals. As well as appearing as the funny guy, Mr Atkinson, will also be racing an authentic 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S, and participating in a large 80th birthday tribute to motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss with his Jaguar Mk V1.
It wouldn’t be advisable to re-create Mr Bean’s comedic scene, but you could lease a Mini from just £181.02 per month. Or choose from our wide selection of Jaguar’s from £394.09 per month.
