This is the 370Z from Nissan’s motorsports and performance division Nismo, which was first previewed at the New York Auto Show back in April.
Nismo has beefed up the same 3.7-litre V6 as used in the standard model, with performance boosted from 332bhp to 345bhp through some clever engine management remapping and a new sportier, east flowing exhaust system. These changes make it the most powerful 370Z available, and while the top speed has been limited to 155mph, 0-62mph has been improved to a claimed 5.1secs.
Modifications aren’t limited to the engine either, with the exterior also receiving a bold and aggressive body kit to aid aerodynamics and match the performance. Bumpers have been restyled, side skirts added, a fairly unsubtle rear wing has been added to improve downforce and unique five-spoke 19-inch wheels work with the Nismo-tuned suspension, dampers and brakes. Interior modifications are few and far between, but do include different pedals, steering wheel and new sports seats.
Unfortunately the car is only on sale in the US at a bargain $39,000, but you could always import if Z’s are your thing. Alternatively, you could just lease the standard UK model of the Nissan 370Z for just £445.75 per month.
