Car tuners Carlsson have decided to celebrate Mercedes’ arrival at the recent IAA Motor Show by giving the new E-class coupe a complete, original makeover, resulting in a more powerful version of the Mercedes E500 Coupe – the Carlsson CK50.
The new E-Class Coupe was already a stunner, so Carlsson have kept styling changes for the CK50 model to a minimum. However, they have given the car a new front end and rear spoiler and offer light alloy rims in a modern two-colour varnish. As an option, Carlsson are offering the front splitter in carbon fibre.

Inside the CK50 there is a wide range of luxurious accessories, including a leather/suede gear stick gaiter and steering wheel cover, and sporty Carlsson aluminium covers for the pedals. And in case all of the leather and suede wasn’t lavish enough for you, the floor mats have been given an illuminated Carlsson logo, further enhancing the ambience.
Under the bonnet, Carlsson have really worked their magic by giving the CK50 a powerful upgrade from 383bhp to 429bhp, and a boosted 422lb ft of torque. This power upgrade was partly achieved by the addition of a stainless steel exhaust system, featuring two oval pipes. The sport centre exhaust silencer and a sport air filter complete the engine kit.
Other upgrades include a coilover suspension which offers a stepless adjustment for damping and lowering the ride height by 30mm, which gives optimal road holding.
