Mazda CX-7 – Sporty Utility Vehicle

Mazda CX7

The Mazda CX-7 SUV has been given a new lease of life with a refreshing new image and will go on sale on the 1st November.

Mazda’s CX-7 was originally introduced in Japan, and now this new Mazda CX-7 ‘Sports Crossover’ has had some visual modifications, along with some engine adjustments, to offer a unique driving experience.

The impressive but thirsty 265bhp petrol engine has been replaced with the 2 2-litre diesel, which is now the only unit on offer for the Mazda CX-7, and now produces 171bhp.  It also offers 37.7 mpg and a CO2 level of 199g/km.  Other technical features include Mazda’s unique Active 4 wheel drive system, plus a six speed manual gear box which has an ‘overdrive’ top gear.

Visual changes include a restyled front with a larger chrome detailed grille, and chrome strips which run along the bottom of the doors too.  There is also a large rear spoiler along with some brand new and massive 19-inch alloy wheels.

Standard equipment comes in abundance with the CX-7 including leather seats, climate control air-conditioning, electric windows, cruise control and electric driver’s and front passenger’s heated seats.  There is also a range topping Bose system with nine speakers and a 6 CD auto-changer to bang out those tunes!  And if that wasn’t enough, it also features integrated satellite navigation and Bluetooth technology.  There’s also a whole host of safety equipment including traction control, dynamic stability control, emergency brake assist, and electronic brake-force distribution.  There is also a nifty little feature, the emergency stop system, which automatically turns on the hazard lights should the driver suddenly hit the brakes.

This new CX-7 stands out from the crowd among the huge line-up of SUV’s currently available on the market, and its individual styling allows Mazda to offer something that little bit different.  With its sporty appearance, the new CX-7 leans more towards a sports car in its styling and spec, but offers an SUV-style driving position and strong road presence.

Lease the curent Mazda CX-7 for only £457.14 per month.
