A full size executive saloon is not a type of car that most people would instantly think of as being particularly tax efficient.  Big cars with big engines and a generous helping of desirable but heavy equipment usually attract bigger taxes, but the A6 2.0-litre TDI is a car that delivers executive motoring without the high associated penalties.

Fuel consumption is another area where the 2.0-litre TDI stands out as more cost effective than other executive saloons on the market with the traditional big petrol engines.  The A6 2.0 TDI Saloon with six-speed manual transmission can accelerate from 0-62mph in 10.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 130mph and it’s 45mpg average economy is a huge plus point compared to the 24-28mpg you can expect from Audi’s V6 and V8 petrol versions.
