Lease a Mitsubishi Colt from £163.95 per month plus VAT.
The Colt has proven to be a popular supermini from Mitsubishi, offering a solidly built car with a spacious interior, and a competitive all-round package with low running costs.
The Mitsubishi Colt three-door CZ1 model boasts front end styling taken from the Lancer Evolution giving the Colt some real character.
The interior is where the Colt really comes into play. Given its compact exterior, there is a surprising amount of internal space, more than enough for a small family for shopping and school runs. The flexible interior allows the rear seats to not only split 60/40 and fold; it also tumbles and slides forward to further increase stowage space. Or if you would rather increase passenger legroom, the rear seat slides back 15cm, as long as there is nothing in the boot space. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the rear seats can be removed completely proving that this is truly a practical little motor. It also offers a great driving position putting everything on the modern dash within easy view and reach, and it also manages to supply all of the basics along with one or two extras. It features power steering, a CD player, electric windows, airbags, and central locking. It also features 14″ steel wheels, ABS and Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and an emergency stop signal system.
The little 1.1-litre petrol engine is quick enough and more responsive at low- and mid-range revs, making the 0-62mph time in 12.8 seconds. It also offers decent fuel economy, with figures of 51.4mpg for combined economy, extra urban 61.4mpg, and urban 40.4mpg. And low carbon dioxide emissions of 130g/km make running costs even more affordable.
Often overlooked, this Mitsubishi Colt is a great little hatch and a worthy competitor in its class, and if you are looking for a car with character, that is also spacious and versatile, the Colt deserves some consideration.
