The second generation Focus has petrol engines ranging from a 1.6 litre(100bhp) to a 2.0 litre.(145bhp).There are three diesel versions ;1.6 litre, 1.8 litre and  2.0 litre. All of these are punchy with great performance. The models all have a five-speed gearbox with the exception of the 2.0TDCi which is a six. An ECOnetic, a green version, boasts aerodynamic changes and whilst powered by the 1.6 TDCi engine only emits 104g/km of CO2 and averages 70mpg. Ford have introduced Powershift to some of their diesel models, which is a  dual-clutch auto transmission, enabling the gearbox to be responsive yet smooth. It is a solid performer that is well equipped, reliable and won’t break the bank.

The interior of the Focus is comfortable, airy and well finished with soft touch materials. The spacious cabin can easily accommodate five adults, with plenty of good head and leg room in the front and the rear. It’s a refined environment in which to travel, particularly on long trips with very little engine and road noise, so whether you are cruising on the motorway or popping to the shops the Focus will give you a truly remarkable ride.

Although it does not fold flat, the boot space is generous and rectangular in shape with the rear seats offering a 60/40 split folding ability. The front and rear storage is plentiful including a front armrest with a cubby hole. The Focus range all come with Easyfuel which allows only the right nozzle into the pipe making it impossible to fill with the wrong fuel.
