Honda have made-true on their promise for the grand unveiling of its Personal-Neo Urban Transport (P-NUT for short) concept at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show.
The idea behind the new nutty city car from the Japanese car manufacturers is conceived as ‘a footprint for maximum convenience in tight urban settings’, and follows today’s trend of downsizing while showing a glimpse of how funky and futuristic Honda cars will eventually look.

With its generous interior space, inspired by McLaren F1, the three-seater P-NUT features many angular shapes and dynamic flowing lines, and the end result is a sleek and aggressive exterior. However, with styling aside this little P-NUT is a great idea for a city car. It is small on the outside, roomy on the inside and efficient in fuel economy.
The concept only measures 3,400mm in length, 1,750mm wide and 1,439mm tall and has plastic body panels and a huge windscreen which will serve as a heads-up display keeping the P-NUT at the forefront of technology. The driver will sit in the middle, with the two passengers behind side-by-side.
The Honda is ready for one of three possible power trains – a small but efficient petrol engine, a petrol-electric hybrid or a pure electric set-up. Whichever they choose, the power source is intended to be mounted in the rear as the driver’s legroom extends all of the way into the front of the car.
