Step aside Mini and Fiat 500 — Honda is trying to overtake you in leaps and bounds with this dinky supercute car.
Honda went car crazy at this years’ Motor Show in Tokyo, splashing more than a few Yen on having the largest stand at the show, and this new concept was possibly the main attraction. The EV-N Concept is Honda’s electric city car which mixes retro with future design and technology. It is a direct rival to the Toyota FT-EV II concept, even though both manufacturers are claiming that these concepts are not planned for production.
Despite the fact that the styling is based on the Honda N360, a supermini which launched in the 1960′s powered by a 360cc engine, the four seater EV-N gets a hit of modern technology to keep it up to date and in line with the remainder of the current demands of the market. It gets a modern powertrain featuring electric motors and batteries which are boosted by a solar-panel roof. And cutting-edge technology features a cool Honda UX-3 gyroscospic unicycle mounted inside the passenger door and swappable fabrics for the seats. Another funky feature is the black front facia glows with various light sequences at night time.
The Honda EV-N may not be your first choice for a family car, but what it lacks in practicality, it really does make up for in abundance with cuteness and definitely individuality!
