Frankfurt Motorshow – the world stage for the motor industry

ferrari-458We’ve been talking a lot about the Frankfurt Motorshow on this blog for a few days now, but what exactly is it and why is it so important to so many manufacturers?

Quite simply, the 63rd Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) – or motorshow to you and me – is the single biggest gathering of motoring movers and shakers in the world, with over 1,000 exhibitors and almost a million visitors expected.

To give you some idea of the significance of the show, more than 60 manufacturers will be using it to introduce new models to the world for the first time, from the new Rolls Royce Ghost to the staggering Ferrari 458, from the new Astra to the stylish Citroen DS3.

“The IAA is the world’s most important motor show,” explained Mattias Wissmann, president of the German Automotive Industry Association. “No other show presents the entire value chain as comprehensively”.

Which sounds a bit like Vehicle Leasing at Fulton – no other leasing company presents the entire value chain quite like we do, from a Kia Picanto at just £128.87 a month, to a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe at £7,300 a month.

The IAA Frankfurt Motorshow opens to the trade with two major press launch days on the 15th and 16th of September, with the doors open to the public from 17th to 27th.
