If you had any concerns that the Fiat 500 was a tad on the masculine side, then despair no longer. Fiat has released a candy-coloured pink, limited edition of the little motor.
Stating the obvious, a PR for Fiat said that the 500 Pink appeals “mainly to young women”, and is being marketed as a “must-have, motoring fashion-item”.
The Fiat Pink is based on the 1.2-litre Lounge, and features a black interior with a leather gear knob, sunroof, start/stop button, side rubbing strip with 500 badge, and special carpet mats. Owners will also be lucky enough to receive a unique pink key cover too.
The start/stop system stops the engine automatically whenever traffic conditions bring the car to a compete halt, and then restarts immediately when the driver is ready to move off again. The inclusion of this system on the Fiat 500 Pink means that the car is good for the environment, and is not just an elaborate fashion item.
Priced at around £11,500, the Fiat 500 Pink costs £1,000 more than the 1.2 Lounge, but comes with £1,500 worth of extra equipment. You can order one of these little babies via online ordering only, but you’d better get in quick as Fiat are only producing 500 of the pink Fiat 500′s.
