Apart from the excitement, thrill and pleasure in owning a beautifully engineered and stunning Ferrari, concerns over unexpected and expensive service and repair bills might still rear their ugly heads, and reassurance becomes an all important factor when buying a pre-owned supercar. So Ferrari has decided to alleviate some of the anxiety by launching their new Certified Pre-Approved Programme, which is also great timing with the current recession.
This scheme has been designed to cover pre-owned Ferrari’s registered in the last 10 years and makes sure that the motor is in tip top condition before being sold on to the next buyer. And it is not only one or two mechanical tests that get carried out; there are a massive 190 seriously precise investigations which are set by the factory in Maranello, from air conditioning to tyre tread depth. It even gets a test drive from a professional driver before it gets the final clear bill of health too.
The process is started with an approval checklist, which includes a full chronological history of the car, followed by a thorough valet being carried out by Ferrari’s specially trained staff. But this thorough valet is like no other – if they are not 100% happy that the car looks as good as factory new, it isn’t passed for re-sale.
Once it has managed to pass these intense checks, only then is it given a sparkly new certificate, along with a complimentary 12 months roadside assistance, a genuine new-car-style warranty and a subscription to Ferrari’s in-house magazine.
With ideas and incentives like this, it certainly helps you get an as-new car for a considerable saving along with many of the perks of owning a brand sparkling new Ferrari.
