Brabus E V12 “Black Baron”: On Darth Vader’s Shopping List

Brabus EV12

Mercedes-Benz specialist tuner Brabus has decided that Darth Vader should ditch the TIE fighter and cruise to important business meetings in a car that matches his wardrobe, with the new Brabus E V12 “Black Baron”.

Based on the E-class and now using a twin-turbo 6.3 litre V12 engine to churn out over 800bhp, the Black Baron is capable of cruising to a mind-boggling, yet electronically limited, 217mph and shooting from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds. If those autobahn journeys need a bit of extra thrust, the car will fly in excess of 230mph with the limitations removed.

Aerodynamic aids include “interesting” rear wheel covers which add to the Brabus’ “charm”, as well as helping to achieve 15mpg fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions of 372 g/km, all-important in the new greener world of global car manufacturers. To cope with the incredible power, the suspension, braking and tyres are all upgraded too of course. Along with black 19″ rims, the interior will also keep the Sith Lord happy, with black leather upholstery and carbon fibre aplenty.

Limited to a production run of 10, the cost of the Baron starts at around £777,000 at current exchange rates. If you miss out, why not lease the standard Mercedes E-class saloon with prices starting from £514.79 per month?
