Actually, this wasn’t unveiled by BMW and isn’t even one of their innovations. It’s a Honda Odyssey minivan that’s been transformed into a BMW by an unknown modifier.
The Honda Odyssey isn’t the most inspiring minivan in terms of design, so the modifier took the front of a current generation BMW3 Series coupe and has done a really excellent job of blending it into the original car.

The rear also gets the Beemer treatment, with a bumper and quad exhausts taken from an M3, as well as BMW 7-Series rear lights. The overall effect on the body work, despite the dodgy brown paint, is quite effective and the design boffins in Bavaria might be tempted to play with an MPV design of their own if they get to see these pictures.

Hopefully, and in fact probably, BMW wouldn’t use a similar suspension set up. Massive 20″ alloys have been employed on this BMW Honda mash up, but because the car has been lowered so much, they have to stick out virtually sideways and run on a serious negative camber. It looks like a giant’s sat on it! Road clearance is only about 1″, so it probably wouldn’t be the most practical vehicle to take on the school run!
